Why Get Your DWI Assessment Done as Soon As Possible?
In North Carolina, obtaining a Limited Driving Privilege typically requires undergoing a DWI assessment. It is especially important to complete the assessment within 10 days of the 30-day civil revocation period to shorten the duration of time without driving privileges. Additionally, a DWI Assessment serves as a mitigating factor during trial, potentially reducing the severity of punishment and minimizing the likelihood of active jail time. It is crucial to be aware of your specific requirements regarding DWI Substance Use in advance to stay informed and prepared.
The cost of NC DWI Assessments is a state-mandated fee of $100. This fee must be paid at the time of scheduling your appointment.
*If you do not have these, please contact your attorney, or the Clerk of Courts in the county you received the DWI and they should be able to provide them for you.
